Ingredients
3 oz very soft butter
4 oz caster sugar
1 large beaten egg
8 oz plain flour
2 level teaspoons baking powder
4 bananas peeled
Chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat oven to 180 F
Grease loaf tin- line the base with greaseproof paper and grease.
Put the butter, sugar, and beaten egg in a bowl. Sift in the flour and baking powder.
In another bowl slice the bananas and mash them to a pulp with a fork.
With an electric mixer whisk no.3 bowl until thoroughly combined.
Add chocolate chips and whisk again thoroughly.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared tin and level off.
Bake in the oven for 50- 55 minutes.
Leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Then loosen around the edges and turn out onto a wire cooling tray.
