Discover our digital magazine featuring artists from our community!
Who can participate?
Anyone is welcome to have their art featured regardless of their previous experience! The only requirement is following the guidelines (mainly avoiding explicit themes).
What's the process?
Applications are open for 2-4 weeks in January, April, July, and October, after which we will have a creation period of about a month. Then, our team designs and produces the Zine that will be published on our website and promoted on our social media.
Zine #3 - Transformation
Transformation doesn't come easy. It can be deeply personal, found in growth, loss, healing, or self discovery. It can also live beyond us, in nature, in relationships, in culture, and in the ever changing spaces we inhabit.
This issue of the Language Cafe Zine brings together a collection of works that explore transformation through many lenses. From photography that captures fleeting shifts in light and perspective, to digital illustrations that reimagine identity, emotion, and form, and all the way to hands-on practice like sewing and fineliner drawings where transformation is built line by line, stitch by stitch.

Zine #2 - New Beginnnings
Every beginning holds a quiet spark: the moment before the page turns, the breath taken before the leap.
This issue of the Language Cafe Zine explores that spark through art, photography, poetry, and stories created by our community. Each piece reflects a different kind of beginning: the ones we choose, the ones that choose us, the ones that feel tender, exhilarating, heavy, or hopeful.
